According to him, around 75% of all his visitors decide on a schedule first through his website. The other 25% pretty much pop up the rest of the time. He told the Daily Mail, “I live in a pretty transparent environment. I go about living while people are touring my aircraft and sometimes it’s very intimate.” Regardless, it seems like the retired engineer enjoys the opportunity to meet fascinating people and discover things about them.
A Special Kind Of Concert
Aside from the fact that he opens his house to all interested visitors, he is also known for holding various events over the course of a year. Last June 30 to July 3, he invited the Japanese singer Pomily and a bunch of other artists in a special concert. The show happened in a grassy patch located right in front of the Boeing 727’s right wing.
He described the show as “A new concert option: Superb music rendered from a wing of a scintillating aerospace home” on his website. He also included several guidelines and instructions for the guests to follow. Campbell told them that it is advisable to wear tennis or running shoes and other comfortable items of clothing for the forestf setting. He, of course, offered guests slippers when they wanted a peek into his home.
