A year later, Bo Derek starred in Tarzan, the Ape Man. This was her husband’s famous R-rated MGM picture and became her first big role in Hollywood. She played the lead of Jane Parker in those signature skimpy jungle outfits. In addition, she appeared nude in the movie. Even though the movie was a huge hit at the box-office, the same cannot be said with critics.
