‘The Art of the Deal’
In 1988, Donald Trump made the Donald J. Trump Foundation. It was initially meant to be his way to give away the proceeds of his famous book called the Art of the Deal. As a matter of fact, the tax returns of the foundation show that the money was handed over to a lot of charities related to healthcare and sports. It also donated to conservative political groups. Trump captioned the photo below with, “Here with my father Fred, back in 1980. My hero, role model, and best friend. #TBT.”
Wollman Rink Renovation
After dealing with overbudgeting, missed deadlines, and the bureaucracy, the city of New York gave Donald Trump the contract to update Wollman Rink in Central Park. This happened in June 1986, but the renovations were completed by December! No doubt, Trump succeeded in leaving his mark in that area. Yes, he added his logo to the rink railing. Trump also donated the proceeds to charity and public works.
