Convair B-36 Peacemaker
The United States Air Force used the Convair B-36 Peacemaker between 1949 and 1959. This is one of the biggest piston-engined planes ever made. It had the longest wingspan of combat aircraft created at 230 feet. It was unique since it could deploy all the nuclear weapons in the US arsenal back then.
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
The C-17 Globemaster III is among the biggest military planes in history. Its first flight happened in 1991. This remained in production until 2015. The model was developed by McDonnell Douglas for the US Air Force, but a unit had a price tag of $218 million. The plane went on to carry out various airlift missions.
