It is no joke to call a plane “Hercules,” so “Super Hercules” must be even more fearsome. In 1996, the Lockheed Martin C-130J was first used by the US Air Force. It has since been used in more than a dozen other countries. The four-engine turboprop transport plane has lasted longer than other military planes.

Martin JRM Mars
The Martin JRM Mars became popular during the Second World War. The four-engine seaplane was the biggest seaplane in the fleet of the Allied forces. There were only seven units constructed even though the model was effective. Four of these planes were later transformed into firefighting waterbombers once the war came to an end.
