According to the AV Club, this was the “worst thing” that had ever happened on Gilmore Girls. Luke and Lorelai had a falling out over her, but she was his daughter! Vanessa Marano, who played her, stated that she disliked the character because it caused the couple to split up. Despite her displeasure, she continued to play the role because she knew it would help her career. It was critical for her not to “care” that the show’s fans despised her.

Andy Bernard, played by Ed Helms, was a fantastic character until the ninth season. You could argue that Nellie Bertram is to blame because she ruined his life, but he was undeniably unlikable in the ninth season. He left Erin after chasing her down in Florida and being fired as a result. He then went on a boat trip and abandoned the entire team to become an actor-singer, even though he was terrible at it…
