Gertrude Moon was not intentionally made to be likable. While staying with Daphne and Niles, she was an overbearing guest who overstayed her welcome. She managed to get a job at a café, but everyone despised her. Millicent Martin, a British actress, played her to perfection, but the character was written as whiny and domineering. Her fans thought she was far too one-dimensional.

Dana Brody of Homeland received a lot of flak from the internet as well. According to The Daily Beast, she is “TV’s most annoying character.” Morgan Saylor played her as a whiny adolescent who claimed she wanted to “provoke fans.” People thought she was annoying because she always had the same expression on her face. Buzzfeed even compiled a list of her expressions, which all appeared to be the same!
