Baseless Allegations
In 2006, Elin got involved in a scandal and she experienced the hardship and challenges that came with fame. A magazine in Ireland released nude photos of a woman who, according to the magazine, was Elin although they had no evidence to back their claims. Obviously, Elin refuted the said allegations that she was the woman in the photos, but this was only the beginning of the scandal which would swallow the couple in the last few years of their marriage.

Elin Successfully Clears Her Name
Elin knew that she was not the woman in the outrageous pictures, so she took it upon herself to discredit the magazine’s allegations and obviously, clear her name. She consulted private investigators and lawyers. They managed to trace the origins of the pictures which apparently were photos of a former Playboy model. After having gathered enough evidence, the Woods sued the magazine and won the case. The court ordered the said magazine to compensate Elin with almost $200,000 and give a public apology.
