What You Should Be Doing First Thing In The AM To Kick-Start Your Day

Stretch

Waking up and feeling zonked or completely exhausted is normal. That is why it is a good idea to stretch even just for 2 minutes when you wake. It shakes off stiffness and wakes up those muscles, getting the circulation going. When you sleep your muscles lose their tone and fluid is caught in your back thus when you stretch the fluid is massaged and spread evenly to its normal position.

Celery Juice

Celery Juice may not be the tastiest morning but it is super good for you. Yes, this may be a trend amongst celebrities but the benefits outweigh absolutely any cons- even the tase. Celery juice has been proven to boost weight loss, keeps you fuller for longer, lowers cholesterol levels, maintains blood pressure, and lowers your chances of heart disease. If you truly can’t stomach the taste simply add a little lemon.

Water

Drinking water first thing in the morning is a great hydration tip, sure, but it also improves complexion and the radiance of your skin. Drinking water as you wake up releases toxins in the body and leads to healthier and glowing skin.

Protein-Filled Breakfast

Of course, we all skip breakfast once in a while, however, kick-starting your morning with a more protein-based meal. Protein raises your brain’s tyrosine levels which will make you more alert and focused. Additionally, the protein will allow for lean muscle to be developed and maintained better.
