Ann-Margret
Swedish-American Ann-Margret Olsson became really popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s. A recording artist at first, she had her big break in the film Bye Bye Birdie. Her other acting credits include the 1975 film Tommy, where she portrayed the title character’s mother, and the shows Ray Donovan and Law and Order: SVU. Five decades after she became a star, Ann-Margret Olsson’s talent and beauty continue to influence show business.
Vivien Leigh
Similar to other women on this list, Vivien Leigh has said she had to deal with her acting skills being overshadowed by her natural beauty. True enough, a director once described the star as a “consummate actress, hampered by beauty.” Starring in A Streetcar Named Desire and the classic Gone with the Wind earned her the most popularity but her onstage career was actually more prolific. She fought tuberculosis in the last few years of her life but ultimately lost her battle in 1967.
