Another weird fact about the show is that it wasn’t supposed to be called The Brady Bunch. Schwartz once considered naming it The Bradley Brood. Thankfully, it wasn’t named that! The Brady Bunch worked out fine for us anyway.

Introduction
On the final season of the TV show, we all saw how the ratings plummeted down. With that, the crew decided to “jump the shark” in order to boost the ratings of the show. Thus, they introduced Cousin Oliver in a puny attempt to save the show. As a result, “Cousin Oliver” became the term used to describe the young addition to a show in the hopes that it does not get canceled.
