Jeffrey Hunter once wanted to play the role of Mike Brady, apparently. He used to try and urge Sherwood Schwartz to let him have the role. The network, however, believed that Hunter was “too handsome,” and thus, rejected him for the role.

Not Clean Enough
As we all know, the Bradys have always maintained a clean image. In one particular episode called “Goodbye, Alice, Hello,” they almost deviated from this reputation. The crew had to cut a scene that they believed would be inappropriate for their audience. There was a scene where Bobby and Cindy had been standing in robes as they begged Alice to let them go skinny-dipping. However, Alice seemed unhappy about this, and responded that none of them would be going to “some x-rated party in their birthday suit” under her watch!
