The US comedy murder-mystery series, The Good Cop was adapted for Netflix from a successful Israeli show in 2018. The series centers around a former streetwise NYPD officer who teams up with his son, a current NYPD detective, to solve cases together. The show debuted in 2018, but unfortunately, it was cancelled by Netflix after the first season.

The Kominsky Method is a US comedy series created by Chuck Lore and starring the Academy Award winner Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. The plot follows two friends, one who is an ageing acting coach, as they try to navigate their lives in LA in their later years. After debuting in November 2018, thankfully the sun isn’t setting just yet and it’s already been commissioned for season 2.
