Teen Mom is definitely no exception. MTV’s lack of authenticity in reality shows was no exception for Teen Mom. The show, which followed 16 and Pregnant, focused on the lives of young mothers after they had children. No one can deny that there was a lot of drama, arrests, and breakups. However, it’s been speculated that the producers would painstakingly edit conversations to make them appear more dramatic than they actually were.

This reality show wanted to pair attractive women with nerdy men for couples challenges. The show’s geeks were depicted as socially awkward and incapable of communicating with women, but this was not the case in real life. One of the guys on the show turned out to have a girlfriend back home. The show has also been accused of portraying some of the contestants with actors.
