Ah, fishing. It is hard to come up with a better hobby than hopping onto a fishing boat before going out into the open waters, opening a can of beer, and throwing out the line. However, the people you will find in this slideshow got more than what they bargained for when they expected to have a nice day fishing.
Fishing counts as a “think little, do little” hobby, though not everyone has the patience it requires of people. It often involves a lot of fortitude, though it often has a therapeutic and soothing effect on the hobbyists. That does not mean that it is easy, however! Nope, there are times when it seems like the most frustrating thing ever. There are not a lot of things worse than sitting down on a bridge with your line in the water and not even feeling a single tug all afternoon. You might not even mind, however, if you have booze and amazing company with you. When you are equipped with these, you might not even notice how fast time passes by! Sometimes, the real treasure is the time you spend with your friends bantering and exchanging stories. Though this doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fishing when you are by your lonesome, of course. We daresay that some of the best fishing trips you can ever take are the ones you embark on by yourself. Sometimes, it just cannot get any better than when it is just you, your fishing pole, some sandwiches, and booze!
Now, make sure you bring your bait with you on your trip. Worms are a classic, though there are plenty of other options if you accidentally left yours at home. We are not referring to anything as fancy as strawberries and cream, though the fish might like the treat. Some ingenious fishermen have come up with many methods of attracting fish with the use of dog food, canned meat, and raisins – even bubblegum when they are desperate!
