What Could Have Been
Although we all know that Gilligan’s Island only ran for three season and had three films, Schwartz had envisioned what the fourth movie would be like. He wanted the story to be set during a nuclear war and hoped the castaways would discover that they were the only humans left alive. Gilligan and Mary Ann would get married and Ginger and the Professor would marry too. Gilligan’s son would then sail away when he turns 20 years old and would come to discover that the world still exists. The characters themselves heard it on the radio, but Gilligan broke the radio “accidentally” just when the disclaimer part came on.
Dream Sequences
Let’s go back to the dreams. You think only the audiences loved the sequences? The characters also had the dream scenes as their favorite! It meant they could go outside the island and just be “anywhere”.
