When the archaeologists were able to take a look at this object, they said something that was to be expected: it was not from this time period. In fact, the object was actually very ancient. The archaeologists put a piece of the object under a microscope to try and understand it further.

What It Was
After doing their research and looking at the object very closely, they realized they were looking at a fossil! Not just any fossil though; it was the fossil of an ancient turtle shell. The craziest thing is that this discovery was linked to another discovery that happened at the same time on the other side of the world!
