She launched her career in the show business back in the late 40’s and truly made a name for herself when she starred opposite Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront. Jackie Mason is best known for his work in stand-up comedy, and he was unforgettable in his 1986 show The World According to Me. He bagged an Outer Critics Circle Award, an Emmy Award, an Ace Award, a Special Tony Award, and a Grammy nomination for it. He has since entered retirement, but we take comfort in knowing that Comedy Central ranked him #63 in their list of the greatest comedians in history.
