However, someone else had to be thanked as well. The sheriff thanked Daniel Self, his deputy officer, for helping Chula. Chula was, of course, the little dog who saved her little owner Kaydon.

Self held the dog and ensured she was fine, giving her some food and water. Everybody was thrilled to find out that Chula had been the guardian angel that stayed with Kaydon through the night.
