Poland
At the start of the Second World War, Poland found itself at a great disadvantage. Germany attacked from the west and Russia from the east; in no time Poland was overrun. Since the embarrassment of WWII, Poland has built up a military worthy of delivering a massive blow to any opponent. Now their military is made up of 1,009 tanks, 461 aircraft and 83 vessels at sea, 120,000 active personnel and 515,000 reservists.
Taiwan
Constant threat of invasion by China has caused Taiwan to increase its military expenditure ($10.6 billion) as well its military numbers. Active soldiers number at 275,000 while reserves cover 2,800,000 soldiers. Taiwan is armed with 815 different aircraft, 105 naval vessels, as well as 2,005 tanks ready for ground assaults. Many of their weapons have been supplied by other countries, like USA, France and Germany.
