It is safe to say that the Carpenters were the people’s type of band. The duo even had a softball team, which helped them raise funds for the Middlesex County Cancer Society. The star pitcher of the team was Karen herself, and the team went up against other celebrity teams.

The Carpenters Graceland
There were plans of demolishing the Carpenters’ house in 2008, but fans of the duo rallied outside the residence that they consider as their “Graceland.” Even now, the house still stands where it originally stood. Seems like fans should not be underestimated. They can certainly get things done.
