Battle of the Bands
The trio signed with RCA records following their win at the Battle of The Bands at the 1966 Hollywood Bowl. The group was able to do quite a few recordings, yet the label still dropped them because the company did not believe their singles would achieve success. In 1967, Karen enrolled at the college that Richard was attending, and the trio carried on recording in the studio of Joe Osborn.
