Her college life was long and tough because she had to balance her studies as well as her part-time jobs and she was hardly getting by. However, luck seemed to be on Elin’s side when she was working on one of her shifts at a store in Stockholm. In the said store, she met a woman who was looking for a nanny. The said lady was actually the wife of Jesper Parnevik, a famous golf player. Elin quickly grabbed the opportunity, dropped out of college, and left her family and jobs in Sweden, since she didn’t want to miss such a chance.

Elin was fully-aware that moving to another country would mean that she was not only leaving her family behind but also her longtime boyfriend. Even so, she was very excited to move to America. Unfortunately, the distance got to Elin and her boyfriend which eventually led them to break up. She became single, but this didn’t last for a long time as the Parneviks soon made the introductions between Elin and their friend.
