Authorities have reported a sharp increase in the number of people who have gone missing on the peak and most of these people were never found. In spite of the dangers, more than 140,000 visitors have been to Dundas Peak since 2016. One of these visitors actually sparked one of the most bizarre happenings in the area’s history. However, he would only find out much later.

In the man’s photo, he can be seen doing the popular pose on the peak’s edge. At first, the photo pretty much looked ordinary, and his souvenir snap actually looks like the thousands of photos that have been taken in the exact same spot. He is wearing jeans and a dark jacket and sitting on a rocky outcrop’s edge, with a leg dangling into the abyss. No one had noticed the thing that was in the background… yet.
