In spite of the dangers, more than 140,000 visitors have been to Dundas Peak since 2016. One of these visitors actually sparked one of the most bizarre happenings in the area’s history. A couple of days later, she hired a babysitter for the weekend before visiting the peak with a close friend of hers. The women hiked the 2.4-mile circular trail and found the spot easily. They did not want to wait around as it grew dark, so they left the keys that they had found on the roof of the car, on the driver’s side. A week later, they saw the car being featured on the news.

The incident put Dundas Peak in the spotlight once more.

Hopefully, we can figure out what… we’re looking at.” According to the police report, the missing woman was described as tall and was wearing a light grey sweater and jeans when she went missing.
