Robert Reed was taken out of the final episode due to an argument with Schwartz. What did they fight about? Apparently, Reed first approached Schwartz stating that the whole script was absolutely ridiculous. From there, things escalated into a full-blown disagreement between the two parties. Reed continued to stay on the set during filming as Schwartz refused to remove him in front of the kids, however.

Susan Olsen once revealed that child actors in her time didn’t really earn much from their on-screen roles. Furthermore, they were also required to shoulder their parking tickets. Fortunately, this was no longer an issue as soon as season one ended.
