The comedic actress Joyce Bulifant was originally announced to play the role. During the screen test, Bulifant was even extensively used. The Brady sisters found it hard to get along in general. Though this time, the young heartthrob Desi Arnaz Jr. happened to be the reason behind it. It seemed like Eve was jealous that her onscreen sister got to spend so much time with him!
