Before Kaydon Leach was taken to his home by the first responders, they first took him to Blount Memorial hospital so that medical personnel could evaluate him. They wanted to be sure that he was not suffering from hypothermia or other medical issues before they took him home.

His family was really relieved when they finally saw their precious little Kaydon. They could not believe how brave Chula the dog had been through the entire ordeal. Everything sounded like something from a book or a film.
