While Kaydon was getting evaluated at Blount Memorial hospital, the young boy’s family released a statement. At first, there was no information about his condition or the facts behind the boy’s disappearance, but his family wanted to thank the incredible local volunteers and rescue teams.

Kaydon’s parents wrote, “We’re so thankful to everyone, from local law enforcement agencies to volunteers, who helped us find Kaydon. The amount of support we have received has been tremendous, even from people we don’t even know. We appreciate all our friends and neighbors, and ask for privacy at this time.”
