A Break
It’s not a secret that it takes a lot of hard work being famous. Richard started taking sedative drugs, which was the reason why he had to have a break. He used this time to enter rehab in Kansas. Meanwhile, Karen wanted to continue making music even if her brother was not around. Even though she had enough songs to make a solo album, labels did not approve of the idea and kept it under wraps.

Karen took pride in her solo album, in addition to putting plenty of heart into creating it. Sadly, many people didn’t really agree with her. Richard even said it was “too mature” for Karen’s age and mentioned that the vocal range was not suitable for Karen. He even went further and called the songs weak. She ended up putting the blame on herself for the failure of her album.
