In 1980, the duo finally began recording again. In 1981, they released an LP which they called Made in America and it sold 200,000 copies. Their song “Touch Me When We’re Dancing” peaked at No. 16 on the charts for the Top 100.

She needed to go into therapy and entered rehabilitation. There, she was made to eat something. Karen lost over 25 pounds in just one month, only drinking water and barely eating anything.
