Looking back, Karen first began the fight to shed off pounds not long after she finished high school. She started to do the Stillman water diet that helped her to drop to 120 pounds from 145 pounds. Her family and friends complimented her for getting rid of the somewhat chubby frame she had. However, little did they know that would just be the beginning.

Even though dieters on the Stillman diet are forbidden from eating heavily processed and fatty foods, they are still allowed to eat. As a matter of fact, the diet specifically tells dieters to have 6 meals in a day, though smaller ones. Regular eating is still encouraged. As for Karen, she was getting sidetracked and became transfixed on shedding more pounds. Soon she weighed just 90 pounds.
