Actress Anita Ekberg was born in Sweden and appeared in many American and European movies throughout her career. The star was mainly based in Italy and is best remembered for starring in La Dolce Vita. She was lovely at any age and started modeling in her teenage years. She joined the Miss Malmö pageant in 1950 before participating in the Miss Sweden pageant and the 1951 Miss Universe pageant.
