American star Lauren Bacall is known for having a seductive appearance and distinctive voice. She was actually named by the American Film Institute as the 20th greatest female star of American film history and became a recipient of an Academy Honorary Award in 2009 “in recognition of her central place in the Golden Age of motion pictures.” She had a standout career in acting, but she actually started out as a model and was featured on various covers, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, among others. She has done many other projects and continues to act to this day.
