In addition, the magazine made a prediction his net worth would go over one billion dollars in 2010. In 2009, Forbes confirmed that the golf superstar was the first athlete in the whole world to ever earn more than one billion dollars. This happened after he received a $10 million bonus from the FedEx Cup title that he won.
